Hard Rock Digital and Playtech have launched New Jersey's "first-ever dedicated trivia experience" on the Hard Rock Bet online casino platform.
The launch builds on the companies' existing strategic partnership, launched in 2024. Under the agreement, Playtech has provided a wide range of gaming content through Hard Rock Bet, including slots, card & table games, and live dealer games.
"The introduction of Playtech's Live Trivia now adds a new layer of engagement, offering players an exciting, interactive experience beyond traditional casino gaming," according to a press statement. The launch establishes Hard Rock Bet as the first operator to go live with a dedicated Live Trivia Game Show in the state.
Jonathan Doubilet, VP US Business Operations at Playtech, commented: "Our partnership with Hard Rock Digital has been built around a unified vision to drive innovation and deliver exceptional customer experiences. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with the launch of our Live Trivia Game Show on the Hard Rock Bet platform, bringing a new level of entertainment to their players."
Grant Williams, Senior Vice President of Casino at Hard Rock Digital, stated: "We're thrilled to be the first in New Jersey to offer Playtech's Live Trivia Game Show, and continue to elevate the player experience with cutting-edge, innovative content. This exclusive experience will truly stand out in the market and uniquely engage players with our top-rated platform by testing their knowledge, competing for rewards, and enjoying interactive, real-time entertainment like never before."
Playtech's Live Trivia Game Show is a quiz-based segment, hosted by trained game show presenters, that invites players to participate in scheduled trivia promotions, answer questions in real-time, and win prizes.
The show is streamed live via Playtech's platform, bringing a fully customizable experience in design, themes, and language. Operators can create tailored prizes, including Golden Chips and Free Spins, which can be awarded individually or distributed among winners, ensuring an engaging and flexible offering for players.
Playtech's Jonathan Doubilet added: "iGaming is steadily blending elements of gambling and traditional entertainment, which reflects a significant shift in player preferences and points to where the industry is heading.
"Looking ahead, the future of iGaming lies in creating seamless, immersive experiences that integrate with broader digital entertainment ecosystems. The industry must adapt to evolving preferences by expanding digital channels, enhancing interactivity, and balancing novelty with familiarity. By meeting these demands, iGaming can continue to appeal to diverse player profiles and remain at the forefront of innovation."
According to Doubilet, similar products, variations on products, new products, and new experiences are all being contemplated. "We have to not simply 'adapt' but look at user behaviors outside of gaming, integrating familiar elements that allow iGaming companies to compete for the same screen time as any other app," he concluded.
Rich Criado, Hard Rock Digital's VP – Casino, added: "This is the exact type of immersive experience that we're hoping to continue to develop on Hard Rock Bet in the future – differentiated and unique content, social community interactions, and continually broadening the type of entertainment available on the platform.
"Live Trivia provides that type of calendared entertainment that we think players will look forward to and engage with on a regular basis – just like a trivia game they may play at their neighborhood restaurant or watch on TV. Similarly, it can replicate that neighborhood trivia experience and the sense of community it fosters with an energetic host and fellow competitors."
