FanDuel leads New York's mobile sportsbooks weekly revenue of $42 million

FanDuel keeps dominating New York's mobile sports betting market, raking in over half of the state's total revenue for the week ending April 7, according to data released by the New York State Gaming Commission.

The Commission reported $42.1 million in revenue from mobile sports betting, with FanDuel alone accounting for $21.8 million. This marks the third time in four weeks that FanDuel has exceeded $20 million in revenue.

The total handle for the week approached $466 million, reflecting a 2.1% increase from the previous week and marking the ninth consecutive week where wagers exceeded $400 million in the Empire State.

Despite a slight dip in hold percentage from the prior week, with revenue up only 0.5%, all nine sports betting apps operating in New York reported positive revenue totals, resulting in an estimated $21.5 million in taxes.

The week’s revenue pushed the cumulative mobile winnings above $3.4 billion since the launch of mobile betting in January 2022. Notably, the nine mobile operators have consistently claimed substantial winnings, with at least $30 million reported in 18 of the last 19 weeks.

FanDuel's continued success was highlighted by its $21.8 million revenue haul for the week, achieved against a $194.6 million handle. This marked the first time the platform recorded back-to-back weeks with $20 million or more in winnings since January.

In a landscape where almost every operator saw positive returns, DraftKings notched its eighth consecutive week with at least $10 million in revenue, while Caesars reported its fifth consecutive week with over $2 million in winnings.

Meanwhile, BetMGM edged over the $2 million plateau with a 6.4% win rate, while Fanatics Sportsbook had its fourth straight seven-figure weekly revenue haul and BetRivers slipped over the $1 million mark by $21,500 from a $12.7 million handle.

Rounding out the group of nine, Resorts World collected $157,744 in revenue thanks to a 10.4% hold, and Bally Bet cleared $2.5 million in all-time revenue after winning $113,500 last week from $2 million in handle.

However, WynnBET's performance remained lackluster, with a fifth consecutive week of declining handle. The platform accepted just $385,195 in wagers for the week, continuing its downward trend as it awaits regulatory approval for its sale of New York mobile licenses.
