The Malta Gaming Authority has notified stakeholders of an upcoming roundtable organized by the Anti-Money Laundering Authority, which will focus on developing a risk assessment methodology for non-financial sectors across the European Union.

The session is scheduled to take place online on Monday, May 4, between 11:00 and 13:00 CET, with participation limited to ensure a balanced exchange among sectors. A Webex link will be shared with confirmed participants after registration closes.

The initiative is designed to collect feedback from EU-level trade associations and representative bodies, particularly those representing non-financial obliged entities operating across multiple member states, as defined under Article 3(3) of the AML Regulation. The insights gathered are expected to inform further refinement of the proposed methodology.

According to officials, the roundtable will contribute to preparatory work ahead of a broader public consultation planned for the summer. The Anti-Money Laundering Authority has indicated that input from industry representatives will play a role in shaping a framework that reflects practical experience and sector-specific considerations.

Participation is open to eligible representative bodies, with registration required by Wednesday, April 29.
