Cash-handling and kiosk technology provider GeWeTe is advancing its presence in the United States through a partnership with Betson Enterprises, focusing on Georgia’s Coin Operated Amusement Machine (COAM) market in advance of regulatory updates set for July 1, 2026.
Under the updated guidelines, COAM locations in Georgia must transition to approved redemption methods, including gift cards. Kiosk deployments are intended to support operators in meeting these requirements through automated, self-service redemption options while limiting disruption to daily operations.
The agreement provides that GeWeTe, a subsidiary of Merkur Group, will supply its kiosk platforms, while Betson Enterprises will manage statewide distribution, financing, installation, and ongoing service support. This approach is designed to deliver a turnkey option for regulated gaming environments.
Aristidis Tsikouras, CEO of GeWeTe, said: “Georgia represents a critical market as operators prepare for upcoming COAM prize redemption changes. With Betson’s strong market presence, customer relationships, and financing capabilities, we have found the ideal partner to deliver turnkey kiosk solutions aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.
"At the same time, this partnership marks another important milestone in strengthening our presence in the United States. Over the past six years, we have been highly successful in the U.S., which has developed into one of our most important markets.”
GeWeTe reports more than 33 years of experience and over 60,000 installed systems worldwide. Its kiosk technology is used to manage cashflow, automate transactions, and support redemption processes, reducing reliance on manual cash handling.
“Betson is excited to partner with GeWeTe to bring best-in-class kiosk solutions to the Georgia COAM market,” said Jeff Capilouto, General Manager of Georgia Gaming at Betson Enterprises. “These kiosks are not just about compliance – they help our customers operate more efficiently, gain better visibility into cashflow, and prepare their locations for the future of regulated redemption.”
The combined offering is intended to provide COAM operators with kiosk systems that address regulatory compliance requirements, manage in-store processes, and support cash security in line with evolving rules.
