Maverick Gaming will lay off about 65 employees as it proceeds with the closure of its Silver Dollar SeaTac Casino in Washington, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filing submitted Tuesday.
The job cuts will take effect on June 30 and impact a broad range of roles, MyNorthwest News reported.
The company had previously announced in September 2025 its intent to permanently shut down the property, located along Pacific Highway South, with an initial closure date set for December 2, 2025.
However, the shutdown was delayed as Maverick Gaming navigated Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and pursued a potential sale of the property.

Most of the affected positions are table game dealers, though layoffs also extend to servers, line cooks, cashiers, and security personnel.
Maverick Gaming filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July 2025. The company currently operates 24 other casino locations across Washington, along with additional properties in Nevada and Colorado.
In prior transactions, Maverick Gaming sold three Seattle-area properties to affiliates of Oak Street Real Estate Capital for nearly $62 million between 2022 and 2023, while continuing to operate gaming activities at those sites.
The company relocated its headquarters from Las Vegas to Kirkland in 2021. Bankruptcy filings indicate Maverick Gaming’s assets and liabilities were each estimated between $100 million and $500 million.
