In an exclusive interview with Yogonet.com, EGT Interactive's Business Development Manager Tsvetomira Drumeva, discussed the company's debut at SAGSE 2018, and share her views on the Argentinian and Colombian markets.

Could you share your final assessment of EGT Interactive's debut at SAGSE 2018, in terms of visitors, new deals, networking and feedback? Has it met your expectations?

On this 26th edition of SAGSE, EGT Interactive decided to present along with EGT and EGT Multiplayer. This was the first time EGT Interactive presented in SAGSE. In terms of visitors, we had a great influx of people, but most importantly we had the chance to meet with the main online operators of Argentina, companies that we had been in talks with prior to the event. Not only were local operators present, but also operators from other countries, such as Paraguay. It was a great show for all the group of companies of Euro Games Technology (EGT), and for sure a very productive event for EGT Interactive, as it goes in line with our strategic expansion plan in LATAM.

Were there any regional launches? Which products aroused interest at your stand, and which ones do you find most popular in the region?

As always, we continue with our traditional monthly release of games. This month our featured games are: 7 Caramel Hot, Forest Tale and Dragon Reborn.
Many of our visitors in SAGSE knew the game titles from our land-based operations, so that’s a plus for EGT Interactive; nonetheless, they were amazed by the quality of the games in their newly transferred HTML5 configuration for computer, iOS and Android. Sharp sound, high quality graphics, were some of the words used to describe the games. Of course, our 4-level mystery progressive jackpot - Jackpot Cards - was a big plus for the operators. And our big advantage is the attractive mathematics, which guarantee the success of our games on the market.

What could you tell us about EGT Multigame Server, and RTP strategy? Do you have any feedback from this in Argentina or Latin America?

We in EGT Interactive believe that although pleasing the client is very important, our partnerships are of triangular shape: when we partner with an operator, we partner with the players, too. For this reason, our RTP strategy has been key in our success. The player in LATAM is not only focused in the visible characteristics of the games, but also on performance, that is why our games are based on an attractive Return-to-Player (RTP) strategy, which has proven to increase the player lifetime value.
The EGT Multigame Server (MGS) technology is a solution that provides online operators with a direct connection with EGT Interactive’s most popular online casino gaming content. What we basically do is provide the operators with a one-time seamless integration via web services API, in order for them to integrate with the MGS, giving them access to our rapidly-expanding portfolio of games (more than 150 games – video slots, roulettes, table games and keno). With this, the operators and clients do not need to wait for updates or uploading of new titles, but rather they have them once they are up in the EGT Multigame Server.

Alpha Boot Camp by SiGMA and Malta Gaming Authority were the main novelties this year. Could you capitalize their presence, especially regarding iGaming topics?

We were not part of SIGMA, but we receive very positive feedback for the event from the operators that passed through our booth. To have a respected regulator like MGA presenting in SAGSE reinforces the importance of the region for the online gaming.

Could you give us examples of technological innovations you've applied to your business' areas?

As of this year, we have decided that in order to continue advancing technologically, in order to provide a good product and service to our clients, we have modified all of our games from Flash to HTML5. HTML5 allows players to access the games from any browser, without technical restrictions based on compatibility. Now, third party plug-ins are not necessary, as HTML5 runs directly on the browser; hence compatibility with operational systems like Android and iOS is possible.

How could you describe your current presence in Latin America in general (market share, deliveries, strongest jurisdictions, etc.)? How do you foresee it for the next years?

Latin America is one of the most attractive regions, for its extremely significant betting and gaming opportunity. That is why the whole region is one of the main focusses of EGT Interactive growth strategy for the following years.
We have a strong market penetration in LATAM, since we started our expansion plans 2 years ago. As of today, we are focused on the main markets of the region, among them: Mexico, Colombia and of course Argentina. We are one of the first suppliers of certified games to the Colombian market and we are already live with zamba.co . Our first batch consists of 20 of our best preforming games in land-based, like Burning Hot, Amazons’ Battle, etc. and we are planning very soon to increase this number.
We see the future of online to be quite big in LATAM. We have Peru, Brazil and even Argentina working on important pieces of legislation for the legalization of online gaming. Whichever country in Latin America will be the next one in regulating the online gaming, EGT Interactive is ready to meet all requirements and deliver first-rate online gaming content, which we do in the other 70 countries where we are present.

Could you assess your current and future presence in Colombia with zamba up to now? How do you adapt your products to local markets?

Zamba has given us the vote of confidence to be one of their first game providers. Since the integration, our relationship has been amazing. This was the first step for the company in Colombia and opened doors to new projects, which we will soon be presenting. Every jurisdiction is different, and so are their regulations. Our company is strictly focused to operate on regulated markets and moving into new regulated territory is always a challenge. Nevertheless, since our games fulfilled all the market requirements we easily completed the certification of the first batch. As regards to the results – we are more than satisfied of how our games were welcomed from the local players.
