DraftKings is preparing to enter Missouri’s sports wagering market on December 1, 2025, under a temporary direct mobile license that allows the operator to launch statewide without partnering with a casino or professional sports organization.

The Missouri Gaming Commission granted DraftKings the temporary license earlier this year. The approval clears the way for the company to operate independently, making Missouri the 29th US state where DraftKings will offer online sports wagering. The company also operates in Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and Ontario.

DraftKings said eligible customers in Missouri will gain access to wagering options, including same-game parlays, in-game betting, and promotional odds offerings on launch day. Its responsible gaming features will also be available, including My Stat Sheet, which lets users track activity, and My Budget Builder, which helps customers set limits and reminders.

“DraftKings is built for passionate sports fans, making Missouri an exciting jurisdiction for us to enter with its rich sports culture, and several professional teams across the state,” said Greg Karamitis, the company’s chief revenue officer. “This is an incredible time of year for sports fans with NFL, NBA, NHL, college football, and college basketball all in-season, and we look forward to elevating the experience for Missouri sports fans, responsibly, with our top-rated online sportsbook.”

Although the direct license allows DraftKings to operate without a local affiliate, the company already has relationships with teams in the state. DraftKings has served as an Official Sports Betting Operator of the Kansas City Chiefs since 2022 and recently secured the designation of Official Sports Betting and Daily Fantasy Sports Operator of the St. Louis Blues.

To coincide with the launch, DraftKings will host a ceremonial first bet event on December 1 at The Palladium in St. Louis. Missouri sports figures Tony Gonzalez, Isaac Bruce, and Brett Hull are scheduled to participate, and Missouri House Speaker Jonathan Patterson is expected to deliver remarks.

DraftKings will support a local initiative through a $50,000 donation to the Veterans Community Project, a nonprofit working to address veteran homelessness in Missouri. The funding will go toward the organization’s Tiny Homes initiative, which provides transitional housing, services, and care intended to help veterans move toward independent living.

Eligible users in Missouri can download the DraftKings Sportsbook app on iOS and Android beginning December 1 to access wagering markets and responsible gaming tools.
