(Macao).-The number of electronic table games in Macau will increase from 5,500 to 9,000 in 2016, Union Gaming says. The number will rise as new casinos open in Cotai and gaming companies use electronic table games to attract lower-spending players.

“With an increased focus on table game yields, and in the context of the market-wide table games cap in Macau, we think all Macau operators will continue to look at ETGs as an increasingly attractive option,” a Union Gaming note says.

It says each of the six big new casinos in Cotai will have 500 each and that places such as Macau Fisherman’s Wharf will have the rest.
