Effective on March 1st, the statutory functions of the Commission will fall under two separate directorates, the Directorate Licensing & Strategy and the Directorate Compliance.

Michael Ellen will be the Director for Licensing and Strategy with a team of three officers who will handle suitability investigations, licensing, complaints and special investigations, amongst other functions.

Jorn Stark, who will oversee a team of eight deputy directors, assistant directors and officers, will head the Directorate Compliance up. The compliance team will manage ICS and EGE approval, inspections, change control, monitoring and policy.

Both directors will report to the AGCC’s Executive Director, Andre Wilsenach.

The AGCC said the reorganization was necessary to improve policy and strategy formulation whilst continuing and enhancing the execution of the Commission’s statutory duties in respect of applicants and licensees.
