Mohegan Sun recorded $47,597,256.88 in slot revenue for August 2025, marking an increase compared to the same month last year. The latest figures reflect a year-over-year rise from August 2024, when the property reported $43,774,727.05 in slot earnings.
In accordance with the Mohegan Tribe’s established revenue-sharing agreement with the State of Connecticut, the August performance resulted in a direct payment of $11,899,314.22 to the state. The agreement has long served as a key part of the casino’s financial relationship with Connecticut, providing a consistent revenue stream to state coffers.
The financial results come amid national recognition for the resort. Mohegan Sun was recently ranked the No. 1 Casino for Slots in the 2025 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The property also secured second place in three additional categories: Best Casino Hotel, Best Casino Outside of Las Vegas, and Best Players Club, the latter for its Momentum loyalty program.
Nominees for the annual awards were curated by a panel of industry experts, including USA TODAY editors, contributors from 10Best.com, and journalists from Gannett publications. Readers then voted online over a four-week period, contributing to a selection process that drew participation from more than 5 million monthly visitors.
