(UK, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Koen Stomph, Advantech-Innocore’s Sales Sector Director, made an evaluation of the performance of the company for 2011. He also commented about the general situation of the gaming industry within the global economic crisis. “2012 will be better. The industry has gone through a learning curve over the last 2 years and we see a better handling the situation in general”, he pointed.

What is the evaluation of this 2011?
We are happy to say we have reached all our targets in 2011, despite the economics being challenging and the integration process with our new parent company Advantech that we had to go through.

How was the general gaming industry in a year with an economic crisis that affected many markets?
Clearly some markets were struggling due to lower player intakes but also changes legislations. From a global perspective however, emerging markets were able to compensate business in a pleasant way. With our new set-up, Advantech-Innocore proved well positioned to benefit from the situation; the widest range of computing products available today!

In your opinion, what was the most outstanding news of the year?
Obviously the beginning of what hopefully is a recovery of casino revenues all around the world….

In your opinion, what was the most innovative product or service launched this year?
No doubt our own DPX-E120… Gaming Computing Performance in a very affordable box!

What are the company's plans for 2012?
Create substantial awareness of the huge total offering we now can present to the gaming industry; being part of the largest Industrial computer manufacturer in the world, our customers have access to over 2,000 computing products, from industrial and semi-industrial PC components such as the obvious Mini-ITX, ATX and Com-Express  to hospitality and digital signage solutions, portable and handheld battery-powered terminals and tablets, touchscreen computers, I/O modules, industrial controllers, open frame monitors, etc.

How will be the 2012 for the gaming industry in general? Will it be similar to 2011? Do you think that we will see a growth in the activity?
2012 will be better. The industry has gone through a learning curve over the last 2 years and we see a better handling the situation in general. High pressure has certainly stimulated ‘outside the box’ thinking, and all-in -all  there are definitely good opportunities out there… Advantech-Innocore is on stand-by to make it happen…..
