Caesars’ Northern Nevada Region was also recognized with the “Star of the Industry Sustainability” award along with many Caesars’ employees for excellence in the gaming and entertainment industry.
Loveman has led Caesars Entertainment and the gaming industry through a multitude changes and challenges during the last decade. Drawing on his extensive background in retail marketing and service management he helped to develop and implement the gaming industry's most sophisticated and successful loyalty program, Total Rewards. Today, Total Rewards boasts more than 40 million customers.
“Gary Loveman has been invaluable to Caesars Entertainment and the gaming entertainment industry,” said Jan Jones, Executive Vice President of Government Relations and Communications for Caesars Entertainment Corporation. “His leadership and innovative thinking have pushed the industry to a new level of excellence and has earned him the respect of hoteliers around the world.”
The Northern Nevada properties were recognized at the NH&LA’s annual Star Awards dinner for their focused approach to critical issues of energy, waste, water and carbon emissions at Harrah’s Reno, Harrah’s and Harvey’s Lake Tahoe. These properties have implemented numerous sustainability efforts including low-flow showers, drought-tolerant vegetation and energy efficient lighting.
Jones also emphasized the contributions of many exceptional employees at Caesars Entertainment who were also recognized at the event. Those honored by the NH&LA include Lucy Loh (Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino) as “Casino Employee of the Year”, Jadwiga Maruszewska (Flamingo Las Vegas) as “Housekeeping Employee of the Year” and Edward Eugene Hollis (Bally’s Hotel and Casino) as “Food and Beverage Employee of the Year”.
