(Macau).- MGM China expects to need about 8,000 employees for its new casino resort in Cotai. Grant Bowie, CEO of the firm, said he is confident the government will come up with policies to help all the Cotai projects in the pipeline to get enough manpower.

Bowie didn’t elaborate on how many imported workers the company would eventually need for the new property, which will take 36 months to build and cost an estimated US$ 2.6 billion.

MGM China announced this week that it has entered into an amended and restated Hong-Kong-Dollar-denominated senior credit facilities agreement in respect of facilities amounting to US$ 2 billion.

The facilities amend and restate the existing US$ 950 million credit facilities of MGM China’s subsidiary MGM Grand Paradise, SA, extending their term to October 2017.

Part of the money is to be used on the Cotai project
