Soft2Bet has launched MEGA Islands, a new gamification engine aimed at increasing player retention across casino and sportsbook platforms.
The feature, part of the company’s MEGA Suite, introduces a persistent progression system that allows players to build and expand their own virtual islands over time. By collecting resources through gameplay, users can construct buildings, upgrade existing structures, and unlock new stages, creating a continuous engagement loop that extends beyond single sessions.
Originally introduced in the company’s Lodur release, MEGA Islands enables progression that carries over between sessions. This aims to transform short-term gameplay into a longer-term experience, encouraging users to return regularly to develop their islands and achieve new in-game goals.
A key element of the system is its plundering mechanic, which allows players to raid other islands for additional resources. This feature adds a competitive dimension while reinforcing the core cycle of building, collecting, and advancing. With no fixed endpoint, the experience is designed to sustain long-term activity.
Yoel Zuckerberg, CPO at Soft2Bet, stated: “MEGA Islands is designed to make retention feel natural by giving players a progression journey they want to keep returning to.
"When players can build their own island, collect resources, and unlock upgrades through plundering, each session becomes part of a longer experience. That gives players a clear reason to return while providing operators with a retention tool that fits naturally across casino and sportsbook."
The launch of MEGA Islands reflects Soft2Bet’s ongoing focus on gamification as a driver of long-term growth. The company said the addition strengthens its offering to operators seeking to increase engagement and maintain competitiveness in the evolving iGaming market.
