ReferOn launches Model Context Protocol to accelerate AI-driven affiliate management

Affiliate management platform ReferOn has unveiled its Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard set to lay the technical foundation for meaningful, AI-powered automation across the affiliate marketing sector.

MCP enables AI assistants to connect directly with ReferOn’s APIs, databases and platform actions, allowing artificial intelligence to operate inside core system layers rather than being added as a cosmetic feature on top of legacy tools. The protocol is designed to support structured data and open standards, creating conditions for AI to perform high-value operational tasks.

MCP will ultimately allow AI agents to handle routine and repetitive workflows, freeing affiliate managers to concentrate on strategy and partner development. Potential use cases include AI systems that can create tracking links in seconds, set up reward plans automatically, and detect anomalies in traffic data in real time.

The first visible step in this direction is ReferOn’s Global Search (Beta), a unified entry point that connects platform data, actions and AI-driven insights. While presented as a standard search bar, the feature acts as a bridge between ReferOn’s core layer, raw data and intelligent AI agents.
