IGT has introduced its popular Wheel of Fortune slots game to the video lottery terminal (VLT) space, launching in Illinois through a partnership with operator Gold Rush Gaming.
The game is available on IGT’s RISE55 cabinet, featuring a 55-inch ultra-high-definition screen, along with advanced lighting and ergonomic design.
To celebrate, IGT and Gold Rush Gaming hosted special player events across the state.
"Building on an incredible legacy of almost 30 years of Wheel of Fortune slots, IGT is excited to partner with Gold Rush Gaming to bring the very first Wheel of Fortune game for VLT players to Illinois," said Tim Shortall, IGT Regional Vice President of Sales. "Introducing the legendary Wheel of Fortune game to the Illinois VLT market adds an immediate player-favorite theme to our strong VLT content portfolio across the state."
Last month, IGT’s new Wheel of Fortune Big Money Spin electronic table game (ETG) made its world debut at Downtown Grand Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This standalone ETG blends word puzzles, wheel spins, and jackpot rewards that fans of Wheel of Fortune slots will instantly recognize.
A free-standing video wheel, towering over 9 feet tall, accompanies the ETG terminals and features the iconic “Wheel of Fortune” chant.
