With more than 16 years in the market, SOFTSWISS has established itself as one of the industry’s most versatile technology providers, offering a portfolio that spans platforms, aggregation, sportsbook, and engagement tools. Following a year marked by new certifications, product milestones, and expansion into regulated markets across Latin America and Africa, the company arrived at SBC Summit Lisbon with strong momentum.
At the event, Yogonet spoke with Dario Leiman, Head of Business Development LatAm at SOFTSWISS, to discuss the company’s objectives at the Summit, its recent award nominations, and how emerging markets such as Brazil, Peru, and South Africa are shaping its growth strategy.
SOFTSWISS has become a fixture at major industry expos, from ICE to iGB Live. What makes SBC Summit Lisbon a particularly important platform for the company this year, and what are your key objectives in terms of both showcasing products and engaging with partners?
SBC Summit Lisbon is a particularly important stop for us because it brings together such a wide mix of operators, suppliers, and regulators from all over the world. For SOFTSWISS, it’s a chance to showcase not only the strength of our product ecosystem but also our vision for where the industry is headed.
This year, we’re coming with momentum – continued growth across all our digital solutions in the first half of 2025, new market entries, and fresh product certifications. Our goal is twofold: to demonstrate why our technologies are built to scale with any client’s needs and to strengthen conversations with partners looking for reliable long-term growth. Lisbon provides the perfect stage for both.

SOFTSWISS has been nominated in multiple categories at this year's SBC Awards, including Employer of the Year, Aggregator of the Year, and Platform Provider of the Year. How do these nominations reflect the company’s achievements over the past 12 months?
Being nominated in multiple categories is a great recognition of the work our teams have put in over the last year. These shortlists tell a bigger story: our Game Aggregator surpassing 35,000 titles, our entry into new regulated markets, and our constant product improvements with unique features being rolled out.
They also highlight the people behind the technology. At SOFTSWISS, we don’t only build software that performs but also create a company culture where innovation and reliability go hand in hand. These nominations confirm that our partners trust us not only for technology but also for long-term collaboration. We’re not just an aggregator, we’re building the industry’s most data-driven engagement platform.
Latin America remains a major focus for SOFTSWISS, with recent certifications in Brazil and Peru and the release of a 19-in-1 market overview this month. How do you see LATAM shaping your conversations at SBC Summit Lisbon?
Latin America is definitely a key focus for us, and that will be reflected in Lisbon. With recent certifications in Brazil and Peru, we’ve taken big steps in two of the most dynamic markets in the region. But we’re also taking a closer look at other countries where gambling is legal or partially regulated, like Mexico and Chile, for example. That’s the main reason why we released our 19-in-1 LatAm market overview this month – and we now have one of the most comprehensive views of the regional iGaming landscape.
For me personally, conversations at the expo go beyond compliance or technology – they’re about how we can leverage local culture and player habits to drive innovation. That’s exactly what I’ll be discussing on the SBC Leaders Summit panel: how emerging regions like Latin America can create home-grown solutions that resonate globally.

Beyond Latin America, SOFTSWISS has just launched its first casino and sportsbook project in South Africa. What makes this market compelling for the company, and how does this milestone fit into your broader regional roadmap? Are there other emerging markets that you see as particularly strategic in the near future or that you are looking to discuss at SBC Summit?
The launch of our first project in South Africa with Mzansibet is a milestone we’re very proud of. It’s the first time both our Casino Platform and Sportsbook are powering a single brand in the country, and it’s happening at a time when the local iGaming market is growing at 20–25% annually. Mobile penetration is a big driver, and we’ve built our platforms to deliver seamless mobile UX. I’m sure Mzansibet players are enjoying their gaming experience.
Looking ahead, other emerging markets in Africa and Asia are also on our radar, and Lisbon will be a great place to explore those opportunities with partners who share that global mindset.
SOFTSWISS recently marked its 16th anniversary with several milestones, from the Game Aggregator surpassing 35,000 titles to entry into new markets and expanded product certifications. How do these developments position the company for its next stage of growth, and what core message would you like partners and prospects to take away from your presence at SBC Summit Lisbon?
Celebrating 16 years in business gave us a moment to reflect – but more importantly, to look ahead. Milestones like the Game Aggregator surpassing 35,000 titles or our products achieving new certifications show how we’re positioning ourselves for the next stage of growth. Today, the Aggregator isn’t just a content hub – it’s a data-driven growth platform. Its unique engagement tools and features, like AI-powered localisation, help operators achieve up to 5x GGR increase.
Our message at SBC Summit Lisbon is clear: SOFTSWISS is here to be your long-term tech partner. We design reliable software that performs at scale, adapts to market changes, and supports operators' growth needs. That’s what partners can expect when they work with us. Our partners don’t just get software – they get 16 years of proven reliability, a team obsessed with innovation, and a vision built for the next decade of iGaming.
