iGaming technology provider SOFTSWISS has launched its first integrated casino and sportsbook project in South Africa through a partnership with Mzansibet. The rollout introduces both the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform and the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook to the market.

The project follows certification from Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), a third-party testing agency, and approval by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. The process covered both backend systems and compliance with local technical regulations, with SOFTSWISS products, including its sports betting software and online casino platform, undergoing rigorous certification.

Market expansion aligns with mobile growth

According to SOFTSWISS’s South Africa: iGaming Market Overview 2025 report, the country’s online gaming market is growing at an annual rate of 20%–25%, driven largely by increased mobile device usage.

In response to this trend, the company has prioritized mobile optimization across its platforms to align with evolving player needs, as noted in the report.

The Mzansibet platform was also adapted to reflect local player behavior and betting preferences. SOFTSWISS worked on frontend localization efforts to meet these regional expectations.

Supporting infrastructure and scalability

The brand launched a nationwide TV advertising campaign and has already attracted tens of thousands of players across the country – a powerful testament to its growing presence and trust,” said Max Trafimovich, International Non-Executive Director at SOFTSWISS.

Mzansibet entered the market with a bold ambition to become a top-tier brand – and we are not only proud to support that vision from day one, but also well-equipped to ensure its sustainable growth,” Trafimovich added.

Leveraging our global and local expertise, we provide the technical, business, and service tools necessary for a smooth launch and scalable development. This is made possible thanks to our robust and stable architecture with 99.999% uptime and a flexible platform ecosystem.”

SOFTSWISS develops end-to-end software solutions for online gaming businesses. Its portfolio includes an online casino platform, a game aggregator with over 35,000 titles, an affiliate platform (Affilka), sports betting software, and a jackpot aggregator. The company introduced the first Bitcoin-optimized online casino solution in 2013 and now employs more than 2,000 staff globally.
