Animo Studios, the software and creative studio established by livestreamer and Fortnite champion Harley Fresh, has rolled out live animated hosts for online games, launching exclusively on Stake for a limited period.

The offering uses a mix of motion capture, live broadcasting, machine learning, and proprietary tools that allow human presenters to appear as animated characters with individual names, backstories, and personalities. The studio said the approach is intended to expand engagement options for both online players and betting audiences.

Animo’s technology is designed with applications that extend beyond table games, with development already underway for live game shows and other formats. The company has partnered with intellectual property specialists who have previously worked with Netflix, Warner Bros., and Universal Studios to explore licensing and brand integration in the live entertainment sector.

“Animo is set to reshape table games, game shows, and beyond, reimagining how we play, connect, and engage online,” Fresh, who has nearly 8 million YouTube subscribers, said. “The live entertainment space has stagnated for too long, and we see enormous potential to bridge the gap between gaming and iGaming.”

The animated hosts can respond to players in real time and interact with physical objects inside virtual environments. According to Animo, the interactive element allows players to build direct connections with the hosts. The company also plans to provide celebrities and influencers with options to feature intellectual property-based characters across its platforms and game shows.

“Animo's innovative use of software and hardware pushes the entertainment experience to the next level,” said Brais Pena, Chief Strategy Officer of Easygo, the Melbourne-based technology company behind Stake. “It's exactly the type of project we want to support.”

The launch went live on September 8 through Stake, with Animo also confirming partnerships with other global iGaming operators and aggregators. The rollout is expected to test adoption across multiple market segments before expanding to additional platforms.
