NOVOMATIC completes ADMIRAL Austria sale to Tipico after regulatory approval

NOVOMATIC AG has finalized the sale of ADMIRAL Austria to Tipico Group after securing regulatory approval, a move the company says will support its focus on international growth markets while maintaining a technology partnership with its former subsidiary.

The transfer of ownership was completed following clearance from all required authorities. Under the new arrangement, ADMIRAL Austria will continue to rely on NOVOMATIC’s gaming technology solutions despite operating under Tipico’s control.

For Tipico, the acquisition strengthens its position in Austria. CEO Axel Hefer said: “We are delighted about the successful completion of this transaction. ADMIRAL is a leading Austrian company with a strong legacy and clear potential for future growth.

NOVOMATIC AG operates in roughly 45 countries and exports gaming equipment, system solutions, and lottery services to more than 130 markets. Its operations include more than 1,400 electronic and traditional casinos and video lottery terminal venues, both company-owned and through rental models.

Through its international subsidiaries, the group provides products and services across multiple industry segments, including terrestrial gaming, management systems, cash handling solutions, lottery platforms, sports betting, and online and mobile offerings.
