Online gaming giant Bet365 has acquired the Denver office building that serves as its US headquarters for $135 million, as confirmed by public records and real estate filings.
The 248,783-square-foot structure at 1701 Platte Street, known as One Platte, was purchased from 1701 Platte Owner LLC, an entity tied to San Francisco-based Shorenstein Properties.
Hillside New Media Holdings US Inc., associated with bet365’s US operations, is listed as the buyer in a special warranty deed. The purchase follows bet365’s move into the downtown Denver building in September 2024.
Located along Interstate 25 in one of Denver’s active commercial districts, One Platte is LEED and WIRED certified. It includes office and retail space, a fitness center with locker rooms, a multipurpose event venue, and a lobby.
Bet365 occupies 119,300 square feet of the building, which had an 88% occupancy rate as of April.
The building’s amenities and proximity to dining, residential areas, and Commons Park factored into the operator’s site selection. The firm is planning to further renovate two floors as part of a $40 million upgrade to support its U.S. business.
Bet365 projected it would hire 300 employees during its first year in Denver and aims to increase its workforce to nearly 1,000 in the coming years. The move was supported by over $14 million in tax credits from Colorado’s economic development agencies, intended to attract long-term investment and job creation in the region.
The business, announcing its Denver move Sept. 30 last year, promised hundreds of jobs with high salaries, according to the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
