The statewide hold hit 11.65%, up from 8.12% in April but slightly below the 12.01% posted in May 2024. Despite the monthly growth, revenue still trailed the state's record of $105.3 million, set in April 2024 during the launch of legal online betting.

The figure marked a 7% increase from the same month last year but represented a 2.4% dip from April’s $570.2 million. The all-time monthly handle record remains $695 million, set in March 2025.
Estimated tax proceeds from May betting activity came in at $11.7 million, the highest since January’s peak of $13.4 million.
The commission does not break down performance by individual operators. Major players such as FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and Fanatics are among the sportsbooks active in the state.
