Rubén Solórzano, General Manager of Affiliated Marketing Group and one of the organizers of the Peru Gaming Show (PGS), stated that the next edition of the event will gather the "most emblematic" manufacturers and suppliers from both the land-based and online sectors.

In an exclusive interview with Yogonet, the executive said that the academic agenda will be diversified and that topics such as the regulation of the Peruvian market, artificial intelligence, fraud prevention, and game manipulation, among others, will be addressed.

The event will be held on June 18 and 19 at the Jockey Exhibition Center in Lima.

More than 8,000 attendees are expected to attend PGS 2025. With just days left, what are the expectations for this new edition?

Expectations for the 22nd edition of PGS are at their highest. After Peru achieved the regulation of gaming in its entirety -that is, land-based, remote, and online gaming- this jurisdiction becomes one of the markets with the greatest opportunities for all players willing to expand the market and create new businesses. Therefore, they see Peru as a market with a lot of potential.

On the other hand, Peru is a hub in South America, strategically connected, with easy access through direct flights. All this contributes to PGS 2025 becoming the epicenter of gaming, where all the world's most emblematic manufacturers and suppliers will be present. The industry will be well represented by the brands that have bet and decided to be in the Peru Gaming Show this June 18 and 19.

This year's event is being held with the regulatory framework for the online sector already defined. How does this fact impact the exhibition's offer?

For those of us who belong to the industry, a real fact in these times of globalization is that a major trend is the increasing presence of online games. In this context, many land-based gaming companies are making decisions to complement their activities and unite the verticals in their businesses. In line with these developments, the offer to be seen at the PGS 2025 exhibition will have the presence of companies and brands of products and services for land-based, online, and sports betting.

On the other hand, the efforts of the authorities of many jurisdictions to formalize and regulate gaming have positive effects for gaming players, who attend events like PGS in search of novelties.

The academic agenda of the last edition was focused on the online sector, taking into account the regulatory debates of that time. What was taken into account when designing the conference program for 2025?

In this edition of PGS, we have opted for a diversified theme, with the contribution and participation of leaders and excellent professionals of the industry who transmit experience and knowledge to those attending the conferences.

There are topics related to the regulation of the Peruvian market, the application of the Selective Consumption Tax to gaming, Artificial Intelligence, the manipulation of games as a global problem, how to prevent fraud in online gaming, the analysis of the Colombian and Brazilian markets, marketing ecosystems, omnichannel strategy and other key topics for the industry. The important thing in the PGS organization is that we do not opt for commercial topics, but for topics that teach and professionalize.

Although online gaming is booming, Peru is a country with a tradition of land-based gaming. What kind of land-based offer can attendees of the event expect?

As it has been repeatedly stated, online and remote games have invaded the markets, showing exponential growth. This would seem to surpass the performance of land-based games, but this is not the case. At least in the short and even medium term, there are markets such as the Peruvian market that have a tradition for land-based games.

These players have different characteristics from those of the online sector, they are used to gatherings, to socialize and interact with friends and acquaintances. Within this framework, although there is an important presence of online suppliers in the trade show, there will also be slot machine manufacturers and game developers for these lines of business.

These are manufacturers that bet on the Peruvian and regional market, in a corporate and joint venture. Merkur, Win Sytems, Ainsworth, Konami, Belatra, Amusnet, Gambee, Feral, Intervision, DLV and Global Business will be present.

PGS will gather representatives of the in-person and online operators' guilds. What networking opportunities will the event offer?

PGS has been characterized for summoning the governing authority of the game that supervises, controls, and regulates the activity, and, in the same way, we have contacts and interact with the guilds. All of them join in the PGS call as a sign of trust and support, considering that it is an event of international dimension that attracts the attention of the most important players from different countries of the world. This call to the authorities and guilds allows an empathetic interaction in search of ideas, proposals, and solutions for the industry.
