The property will reopen at 25% capacity, with no food and beverage on the gaming floor. Live racing at Yonkers Raceway will continue to follow a revised racing schedule without spectators. Park MGM Las Vegas is expected to reopen within the next 30-45 days.

MGM Resorts said Wednesday that it will reopen Empire City Casino at 25% capacity to the public on September 21.

The announcement means that MGM Resorts will have reopened all but two of its domestic properties in Las Vegas —Four Seasons and Park MGM, which is expected to reopen within the next 30-45 days, the company stated.

“This has been an unimaginably difficult and challenging time, and as we reopen our doors and welcome back team members and guests, we owe our gratitude to all healthcare and essential workers and those providing resources to the community,” Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and president of MGM Resorts, said in a press release. “It’s been several months since we were forced to close, so it is with strong emotion that we welcome our team members back to work. Health and safety remain our first priority, and our commitment to New York has never been stronger.”

Twenty-five percent of Empire City’s 4,700 slot machines and electronic table games will be open. In order to promote social distancing, numerous machines have been disabled and chairs have been removed. The Pub, Empire City Chophouse, and The Big Kitchen international food court will be open for dining, but all the bars will remain closed. Food and beverage are also banned from the gaming floor.

Live racing at Yonkers Raceway will continue to follow a revised racing schedule without spectators. State guidelines prohibit on-property wagering at this time. The entrance to the property will be limited to the Yonkers Avenue entrance. The Central Avenue General Parking entrance and Clark Street Valet entrance will remain closed. In addition to the valet parking, the shuttle service will not be operational either.

Hosted, invitation-only access will be available to certain MLife members ahead of September 21.
