Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries announced that, effective Thursday, customers will be required to bring and wear a face-covering/mask when attending Manitoba Liquor Marts or visiting the Casinos of Winnipeg or Shark Club Gaming Centre.
The Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Corporation is a government-owned enterprise that sells lottery products, operates the Winnipeg casinos and is responsible for the distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages in the Canadian province of Manitoba.
Signs will be posted at all entrances to inform customers of this requirement. In the interests of protecting the health and safety of employees and other customers, any customer who refuses to wear a mask will be asked to leave, the Winnipeg Sun reports. It is also encouraged that only one family member per household to enter, unless otherwise required for business.
Effective Thursday, September 10, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries will require all customers to wear a mask when shopping at Manitoba Liquor Marts or visiting the Casinos of Winnipeg or Shark Club Gaming Centre.

This new mask requirement does not replace the physical distancing guidelines that are already in place. Per public health direction, a distance of two meters (six feet) should be kept between people whenever possible. Customer-facing MPI employees interacting with the public will also be required to wear a mask.
Recently, Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries began mandating masks for all Liquor Mart, Casinos of Winnipeg, and public-facing corporate employees. Manitobans who are experiencing any symptoms, or are self-isolating, are asked not visit Liquor Marts or Casino of Winnipeg establishments.
