AGS announced Thursday that it is partnering with the Vegas Golden Knights (VGK) National Hockey League franchise on a ‘Golden Grad’ Twitter promotion to honor and recognize Las Vegas 2020 high school graduates.
AGS’ Chief Marketing Officer Julia Boguslawski said: “COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on so many people; we recognize that the pandemic has also been very hard on our graduating high school seniors, who have missed out on their prom, their last season of high school sports, and a traditional graduation ceremony. We wanted to do something for the seniors in our community to acknowledge their missed milestones and to celebrate their achievements. And we couldn’t ask for a better organization to partner with as we launch this promotion – the Vegas-born Vegas Golden Knights.”
AGS, which is entering its third year as a corporate sponsor of the VGK and sponsor of the ‘Play of the Knight’ feature at home games, launched the ‘Golden Grad’ Twitter promotion on Thursday at the VGK Twitter page @GoldenKnights. The VGK will post a tweet about the promotion, encouraging Las Vegas valley graduating seniors to reply with a high school photo and the name of their high school.
This one’s for all the 2020 Las Vegas high school grads; we think you’re golden! To help AGS and the Vegas Golden Knights celebrate local grads, find the #GoldenGrad tweet @GoldenKnights, reply with your senior photo, & tag @PlayAGS. 3 lucky winners will receive a prize package! https://t.co/p6a86sV4ig

After the promotion ends on June 11, three winners will be randomly selected from every eligible 2020 graduating senior who responded to the tweet. The winners will each receive a prize package that includes a MacBook Pro laptop, set of Apple AirPods Pro in-ear headphones, VGK and AGS gift baskets, and a meet-and-greet with a VGK cast member.
Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz said: “We are thrilled to partner with AGS and offer the graduating seniors in Southern Nevada this opportunity to share this wonderful accomplishment with us. This is a great chance for seniors to be recognized and celebrated for their hard work in an unprecedented time.”
