Yellow Brick Road Casino to host eSports tournament at its Caesars sportsbook in NY

Upstate New York’s sports betting lounge is now introducing the state’s first live weekly eSports competition. The Madden ’20 Tournament will start at The Lounge with Caesars Sports at Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango on November 6, and will then take place every Wednesday, except Christmas.

Yellow Brick Road, one of three full-service casinos operated by the Oneida Nation, hosts the Madden ‘20 Tournament in partnership with UMG Media, an eSports company based in Canada.

Madden ’20 is a video game based on action and players from the National Football League (NFL). Players will compete for a weekly cash-only prize of $100 and two premium seats at the casino’s sportsbook, and runners-up receive free play vouchers, as reported by syracuse.com. The weekly entry fee is $10 and each entrant receives a Lounge with Caesars Sports T-shirt. Each weekly tournament is limited to 16 players and your must be 18 to enter. 

The 9,000-square-foot sports lounge at Yellow Brick Road opened in early September. It combines a full service sports bar with a betting parlor featuring a 32-foot LED screen and more than 35 large-screen TVs, plus betting windows and kiosks.

“We have seen first-hand the passion this region has for sports, so we are thrilled to expand our amenities by combining the excitement of gaming with the love of sports,” Oneida Nation Representative Ray Halbritter said in a statement.
