As the state's three other casinos increased revenue from 2016 to 2017, according to the monthly report from the Ohio Casino Control Commission, Jack Cleveland Casino's annual revenue continues to decline, dropping about 1 percent from $203.6 million in 2016 to $201.4 million in 2017.
The state defines revenue as the money left after casinos and racinos pay winners and deduct for promotions. Additionally, casino and racino officials say year-over-year comparisons typically provide a more accurate reflection of performance than comparing one month to the previous one.
In an annual revenue review of the casino, figures show:
$212.7 million in 2015
$220.4 million in 2014
$242.6 million in 2013
