Interview with Ron Babini, Amatic's Sales Manager

A few days after the Austrian company's exhibition at the Buenos Aires trade show, Babini says their gaming cabinets Performer Grand Arc and Amarox C24 were again well received, and he finds the Latin American market key for Amatic. He remarks the firm invests in attaining approvals from local jurisdictions, and is open to all online gaming markets and seek approvals where it makes commercial sense.

Why have you decided to participate this year at SAGSE Buenos Aires? What were the highlights, key products and main focus of Amatic at Oasis booth? Have you met your key goals and expectations?

The Latin American market is key to us at Amatic and we exhibit each year at the SAGSE Argentina with our local partner Oasis. Through our consistency operators come to see that we are the multi game specialist that offers pure gaming solutions. That is our company motto – pure gaming. We are experts in this field. Our expectations were met from the show.

What was the feedback from visitors to the stand, and the particular topics and demands they were looking to talk to Amatic about? What further learnings and takeouts could you acquire there, and from your partnership with Oasis?

We have a long-standing and trusting partner with Oasis. The team knows the market well and we work very closely together to ensure we provide the right solutions for players in Argentina. This was the feedback we received – that our games are popular and offer great diversity. Furthermore, our gaming cabinets – Performer Grand Arc (PGA) and Amarox C24 were again well received.

How would you describe Amatic's innovations and distinctive offerings to stand out from competition, draw and engage new and different players' profiles? How do you leverage your over 25-year experience in the international gaming industry? 

It is our combination of consistency and innovation that makes us stand out. Our innovation is based upon the combination of our long-standing experience and how we see the future of gaming developing. It is all about what is behind the innovation – why it was created and for whom. We are a pure gaming company that has an excellent proven track record.

What does the emerging LatAm market represent for you, and what are your goals, strategies and approach for the region next year? What kind of partnerships would you be after in this sense?

As mentioned at the beginning, the LatAm market plays a very important role for us at Amatic. We have been active here for many years and have long-standing partners in several countries. 

Amatic continues to expand online gaming vertical, with several countries in Latin America already making use of your online games, and very recent entries to the Spanish and Belarus markets. What progress have you seen so far for this area, and what are your goals, resources and expectations for 2020? What other plans and insights could you share regarding other emerging markets worldwide, such as the United States?

It is a natural step for us to offer our games to online players. We are respected as the multi game company in the land-based sector and it was particularly important for us to offer these games to the online sector. Today we have a great mix of tried-and-tested games together with games created only for the online sector. Our goal is to ensure players around the world can enjoy these games and therefore we invest in attaining approvals from local jurisdictions, such as in Belarus. We keep our eyes open on all online gaming markets and seek approvals where it makes commercial sense.
