Florencia Bobbio, IGT Regional Senior Sales Manager for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, discussed with Yogonet the recent debut of the company at SAGSE Buenos Aires.

In G2E, you presented the 'Let's Play' concept. How did you instill this motto into the SAGSE exhibition?
IGT’s "Let’s Play" theme complemented our product strategy during our presentation at SAGSE. The theme was intended to communicate IGT’s market-ready portfolio of games, hardware and system solutions. The CrystalCurve cabinet and its top-level offer of premium content, already commercially available, was the focal point of our portfolio. We also introduced Cardless Connect and PlaySpot at SAGSE, and rounded out our presentation with internationally acclaimed multi-level progressives, multi-game bundles, tournament solutions and more.

What products has the firm deployed this year?
Throughout 2017, IGT has deployed a wide range of products for our customers in Latin America including Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. The CrystalDual, CrystalSlant, AXXIS 3D, the S3000 cabinets and the games supported by them have been key drivers of IGT’s recent success in the region. We look forward to leveraging this momentum with IGT’s next-generation solutions such as the CrystalCurve cabinet and our tournament technology.

Which IGT products have proven commercially succesful in the LatAm region, and why?
IGT continues to gain momentum in the region thanks to the company’s core video content supported by the CrystalDual, CrystalSlant and CrystalCurve cabinets. I partially attribute this success to the rigorous internal and external testing practices that IGT has implemented to help bolster our customers’ confidence in the IGT products. We are also giving our customers increased visibility to our product roadmaps so they can be confident that their investment in IGT solutions will be encountered with a vast array of meticulously tested, player-friendly and regionally attuned content.

Has an exclusive event been held this year for your customers in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay? If so, what did it consist of? What has been the overall feedback?
IGT hosted customer-exclusive events in several cities throughout Latin America this year, including our Buenos Aires Showroom event in April. In accordance with our "Customer First" policy, IGT cherishes every opportunity to connect with our customers and understand how we can help them realize their business objectives. Our regional events also provide important platforms to emphasize on products that meet the immediate and unique needs of specific markets.

What was the behaviour of these markets -Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay- this year? Which would be your forecast for 2018?
I believe 2018 will be an exciting year for gaming in Latin America. We find that our customers in the region are already embracing new technologies and readily incorporating innovative products onto their casino floors. Based on our customers’ feedback, I believe our 2018 product portfolio will be aligned with our customers’ needs. Specifically, I  expect huge market opportunities for the IGT CrystalCurve cabinet. It is a top-level high-performance product backed by a rich game library of commercially available content and legendary premium themes, such as Fort Knox and Harley-Davidson.
