BetMGM partners with Century Casinos for Missouri sports betting market access

Century Casinos has announced a long-term agreement with BetMGM to bring the brand's sports betting platform to the Missouri market. The deal was entered through the casino operator's Century Casino & Hotel Cape Girardeau property.

Under the terms of the agreement, BetMGM will operate an online and mobile sports betting application under Century’s license in Missouri. The agreement includes a percentage of net gaming revenue payable to Century, with an unnamed guaranteed minimum, as well as retail sportsbook options to be exercised at Century’s discretion.

The agreement is contingent on obtaining all necessary gaming licenses and regulatory approvals, the parties said in a statement.

While sports wagering isn’t live in the state yet, the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) recently confirmed that the market would open on December 1, 2025. The betting legislation becomes effective on August 30, granting the regulator about three months to review license applications.

Under the framework, Missouri's land-based casinos are eligible to apply for both retail and mobile sportsbook licenses, while two other online-only permits have been reserved for potential new operators. The online-only licensees will be announced on August 15.

Missouri voters approved Amendment 2 during the November 2024 election by a margin of fewer than 3,000 votes. The measure amended the state constitution to permit both retail and online sports betting for individuals aged 21 and older.
