Novomatic presented a wide range of innovations at IGE 2009

(UK).- 2009 is set to be a challenging year but London’s IGE once again gave the international industry an enthusiastic demonstration of how that challenge can be successfully met. “Progress through Innovation” was the show’s underlying theme, one that Novomatic met with a range of new attractions that opened new frontiers in gaming and will be the industry’s major talking point around the world in the months to come.

t this year’s ICE in London, Novomatic presented a number of truly groundbreaking innovations for the future of gaming. In their traditional booth location in Earl’s Court II Novomatic welcomed visitors and guests with traditional Austrian hospitality and thrilled them with the latest groundbreaking gaming technology made with pride in Austria.

With a great diversity of new games for the highly successful Coolfire II range, along with an exciting new cabinet initiative Novomatic inspired the international expert audience. No less than 14 brand new Coolfire II games were featured in a great number of new Super-V+ Gaminator multi-game mixes. Among the new game releases were also 4 new games for the Coolfire I gaming platform. The new games are incorporated in the latest versions of the international bestseller Multi-Gaminator - with now no less than 35 international game mixes in total.

The latest Coolfire II Super-V+ Gaminator multi-game mixes were presented in the popular Super-V+ Gaminator cabinet as well as in the brand new and innovative Super-V+ Gaminator ST (Slant Top) cabinet. This new casino attraction features a 26” bottom screen, a 26” top screen as well as a third screen on top in 16:5 screen format for either game information or the jackpot display PowerLink.

Like the recent Novo-Vision Slant Top I cabinet this new slant top, too, features the innovative Flip Screen Feature that allows the player to switch the main game from the bottom screen to the top screen in order to play in an ergonomically perfect position.

Novomatic’s new multiplayer platform Novo Unity II was the absolute highlight of the London show. With unrivalled flexibility for the casino management and a unique gaming diversity for the guest this new multiplayer platform marks the beginning of a new era.

More than half of the booth space in London this year was devoted to a comprehensive presentation of the multitude of new possibilities opened by this groundbreaking multiplayer technology innovation. Novo TouchBet Live-Roulette, Novo Multi-Roulette, Novo Flying Roulette, Novo TouchBet Live-Baccarat, Novo TouchBet Live-Black Jack and Novo TouchBet Live-Sic Bo as well as the new electronic live gaming table TX-01 featuring Novo Texas Hold’em Poker and the Novo Wheel of Cash were installed in a huge networked multiplayer live cluster at ICE.

Novo Unity II was developed to be the platform for the future of multiplayer gaming. It is an innovative platform for the flexible operation of all Novomatic multiplayers in one networked system. It allows operators to choose any number and combination of Novomatic multiplayer games to offer on each of the individual player terminals.

This new flexibility is based on the networked structure of the new Novo Unity II, allowing the operator to actually offer his guests all linked multiplayer games on each of the connected player stations. An easy game management via the server based operating menu offers unrivalled flexibility for the casino management. The operator can map his complete multiplayer floor layout, define individual groupings, unlock and block certain games on chosen terminals and thus flexibly adapt his multiplayer offering on demand to varying guest requirements.

The available game range includes all versions of electronic Novomatic multiplayers. Novo Unity II is a future-proof product operators can rely on and the basis for a great number of upcoming Novomatic product developments that will significantly influence the international gaming floors now and in the future.

Jens Halle, Managing Director of Austrian Gaming Industries GmbH, noted: “At this year’s ICE we displayed a truly ground-breaking array of product innovations. The Novo Unity II platform will introduce our customers to a whole new approach to gaming floor management. It endows them with a highly flexible tool for an individual fine-tuning of their gaming offering.”

“I was delighted that the new games and cabinets were clearly the absolute highlights of the London show. Global trading conditions mean that 2009 will be a challenging year for our industry but, as is widely acknowledged, challenging times also create opportunities.”

Novomatic has clearly demonstrated here in London that we are ready to face the challenges ahead with groundbreaking product innovations. From the reaction of our customers and guests to those products I feel confident of success in the months to come and I want to say: "Thank you once again for your great feedback and support at the London show’."
