A dedicated conference track and premier vendors to be held as well

F&B returns to G2E to show the latest for the culinary marketplace

(US).- Delicious culinary and cocktail demonstrations, a one-of-a-kind fashion show and a miniature Las Vegas made of sweet delights are just a few of the exciting elements in store for attendees at F&B at G2E 2008.

eld as part of the larger Global Gaming Expo (G2E), F&B at G2E is the only culinary marketplace catering exclusively to the gaming industry. A dedicated conference track, premier F&B vendors and unique business opportunities round out the delectable offerings at F&B at G2E, which is scheduled for Nov. 18-20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"Stellar dining experiences have become a hallmark of the gaming entertainment experience, both here in the US and around the world, said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association (AGA). "F&B at G2E continues to offer professionals in this sector a unique opportunity to expand their professional knowledge, explore new trends and forge the business relationships necessary to create and maintain successful F&B operations."

In a special exhibit this year, F&B at G2E will offer an imaginative culinary homage to Las Vegas and the gaming industry. Executive Chef Heinz Lauer and the Las Vegas-based pastry team at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts will treat F&B at G2E attendees to a Whimsical Confectionary Las Vegas, which will depict some of Las Vegas’ most popular diversions in ingredients such as sugar, chocolate and spice. This special exhibit will be on display in the registration lobby.

Back by popular demand is the Ultra Lounge Uniform Fashion Show sponsored by Cintas. Attendees at F&B at G2E will see the latest uniform fashions from some of the hottest ultra lounges and nightclubs in Las Vegas. Scheduled for November 19 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., the show will feature uniforms from the event sponsor, Cintas, as well as from ultra lounges such as Centrifuge, Drai’s, Ghostbar, I Bar, Moon, Playboy, Rain, Rouge, Tryst, Voodoo, XS and Zuri.

F&B at G2E 2008 also will serve up a fresh round of culinary and cocktail demonstrations on the G2E Culinary Demonstration Stage, where chefs from some of the most popular casinos will showcase their favorite recipes and drinks.

Demonstrations will include: November 18 "Simply Las Vegas" Culinary Demonstration Kerry Simon, executive chef & owner: Simon Kitchen + Bar at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino; Cathouse at the Luxor; Simon at the Palms Casino Resort; Simon LA at the Sofitel Hotel, Los Angeles. "Contemporary Classic Italian" Culinary Demonstration Geno Bernardo, executive chef, Nove Italiano, Palms Casino Resort.

"Cooking with Southern Wine & Spirits" Culinary Demonstration Nick Lorenzen, executive chef, Southern Wine & Spirits of America

On November 19: "Organic Cocktails and Spirits" Cocktail Demonstration Armando Rosario, master mixologist, Southern Wine & Spirits of America. "Fashion Forward Cocktails" Cocktail Demonstration Sponsored by Southern Wine & Spirits of America.

November 20: "Authentic, Southern Neapolitan Italian Cooking" Culinary Demonstration Carla Pelligrino, executive chef, RAOs Caesar’s Palace. "French Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu" Culinary Demonstration Heinz Lauer, executive chef, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Las Vegas. "Lets Get Herbaceous!" Cocktail Demonstration Bobby Gleason, master mixologist, FBLLC and Beam Global Spirits and Wine.

In addition to the special events and exhibits, F&B at G2E will showcase more than 120 exhibitors featuring the latest in food and beverage products, franchises and accessories. F&B at G2E offers industry professionals the opportunity to connect with vendors such as Sarah Lee Foodservice; Oneida Ltd.; Pepsi-Cola Company; Easybar Beverage Management; Quiznos Corporation and Tampa Maid Foods. In addition, Southern Wine & Spirits of America is sponsoring a Fine Wines & Cocktails Ultra Lounge at F&B at G2E 2008, featuring premier alcoholic beverage vendors.

In conjunction with F&B at G2E, the Three-Day Conference at G2E 2008 will feature a dedicated F&B conference track, in which attendees will hear from leading F&B executives about the key issues in this sector. Sessions from this year’s F&B conference track include "Nightclubs & Ultra-Lounges: The Expansion of a Phenomenon," "Food and Finance: How to Run a Profitable F&B Operation," "Nectar of the Gods: Using Wine to Drive F&B Business" and "Star Power: The Celebrity Chef Experience."
