SBC Summit Americas will feature discussions on artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, and evolving payment technologies as gaming operators navigate stricter regulation and growing demands for faster and more personalised transaction systems in North America.

The North America Payments & Tech track at the event will focus on how betting and gaming companies are using AI-driven tools, digital payments, and stablecoins while addressing compliance, cybersecurity, and player protection challenges.

The event will take place at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale from June 9-11 and is expected to attract 10,000 delegates from the U.S. and Latin American betting and gaming industries.

The opening panel, titled Tech Leaders: How Tech Leaders Are Using AI to Engage Customers, Transform Operations, and Shape the Industry, will examine the use of artificial intelligence, real-time risk scoring, and scalable infrastructure in gaming operations. Cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and data-driven player engagement will also feature as key priorities.

Speakers include Macario Gallegos (SVP & Chief Information Officer, Seminole Hard Rock), Emily Haruko Leeb (Co-Founder & CEO, Saroca), Owen Monagan (CEO, LayUp), and Dan Pinto (CEO & Co-Founder, Fingerprint).

Another session, Emerging Payment Methods: Biometrics, BNPL, Open Banking & More, will explore the adoption of biometrics, open banking, and digital wallets in sports betting and iGaming, alongside regulatory and player protection concerns.

That panel will feature Matt Brezinski (Director of Gaming, Trustly), Tony Fontaine (Executive Consultant, Independent), Alex Ursa (Head of Gaming, Betr), and Leighton Webb (VP and General Manager, iGaming and Sports Betting, PayNearMe).

A separate discussion focused on Crypto compliance and regulated stablecoins will examine whether digital currencies such as USDC can support broader adoption of cryptocurrency payments in regulated betting markets.

Speakers Nick Imperillo (Senior Fraud & Risk Expert, GeoComply) and Michelle Martin (Chairman & CEO, Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes Institute) are expected to discuss regulatory barriers, anti-money laundering controls, and crypto payment infrastructure in the United States and Canada.

The track will also include The Future of Payment Personalization: Should Players Choose How They Pay?, a session on payment personalisation and whether tailored payment journeys, including instant payouts and affordability checks, could create additional regulatory scrutiny around player protection.

Sue Page (CEO, North America, Neosurf) and Liron Warhaftig (Vice President Player Journey, Rush Street Interactive) will participate in that discussion.

The North America Payments & Tech track is one of several thematic tracks at SBC Summit Americas, alongside dedicated sessions on Sports Betting & CasinoRegulation & ComplianceLeadership, and Player Protection.
