Within the framework of the 75th Ordinary Assembly of the Association of State Lotteries of Argentina (ALEA), Yogonet officially confirmed its entry as an associate member, strengthening a historic link with the country’s regulators at a time of change for the industry. The decision was ratified this Thursday, 23 April, in the city of Mendoza, venue of a federal meeting that brought together 20 of the country’s 24 gaming regulatory bodies.

The meeting, held at the Hilton Hotel, not only marked the institutional expansion of the entity with the arrival of the media outlet, but was also the setting for a political milestone: for the first time in the institution’s history, ALEA’s management team was re-elected unanimously. Dr Ida López, head of the Mendoza Institute of Games and Casinos, will continue at the head of the association for a new two-year term, consolidating a management line committed to sustainability and modernisation.

A necessary bridge for sector communication

Pablo Zuppi, founding partner and director of Yogonet, took part in the assembly and underlined the importance of this step after more than two decades of uninterrupted coverage of the sector. In his remarks, he highlighted that closeness with the supervisory bodies is vital to improve communication in an activity undergoing profound legislative and structural changes.

We are very pleased with this opportunity to add Yogonet as a member. In this context of changes across the country, it is essential to be closer to those who regulate the activity in order to work together on more effective communication of their work towards the entire national and international ecosystem,’ said Zuppi.

ALEA agenda: Innovation and challenges of legal gaming

The incorporation took place in a key week for the sector. Alongside the Assembly, ALEA held the International Workshop “Global perspectives and challenges of legal gaming”, where cutting-edge topics were discussed, such as artificial intelligence, prediction markets, and the fight against illegal gambling.

With this integration, Yogonet ceases to be an external observer and becomes a participatory actor within ALEA’s structure. This move seeks to enhance transparency and the professionalisation of the information flow between state regulators and private stakeholders, in an Argentine market that demands a technical and experienced voice to tell the story of its evolution.
