Brazil’s Caixa Econômica Federal has launched a bidding process to select operators for lottery outlets in 11 municipalities across seven states, according to a notice published in the Official Gazette of the Union.
The bidding will be conducted "entirely electronically via the internet," with permits granted to successful bidders valid for 20 years.
The tender, identified as Administrative Process 5688.01.0184.0/2026 and CAIXA Tender No. 59/2026, covers municipalities in Maranhão, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pará, Ceará, and Tocantins.
Interested parties have until 11:59 PM on May 8, 2026, Brasília time, to register. The deadline for submitting proposals is 10:00 AM on May 11, 2026.
The bidding sessions will run over four days. The bidding phase will take place between May 18th and 21st, with the process concluding on the final day.
The full notice is available on Caixa’s procurement portal, where applicants must follow specific steps to locate the tender. Those interested should access the Bidding Search option. It is necessary to select the CAIXA Bidding modality and choose CAIXA as the buyer.
It further instructed bidders to enter 0059 in the bidding field, type 2026 in the year field, and click search. Additional guidance is provided online, with Caixa noting that instructions regarding registration, passwords, and certification can be found in the ‘What is it?’ section of the portal.
The bidding process is overseen by the National Central Office for Administrative Contracts of the Ministry of Finance.
