Global betting company 1xBet has signed a partnership with MIBR’s VALORANT roster, becoming the first official betting sponsor of an esports team operating within Riot Games’ competitive ecosystem.

The deal marks a milestone for both organisations, granting 1xBet a first-of-its-kind foothold in Riot-regulated esports and giving MIBR expanded commercial support as it pushes deeper into international VALORANT competition.

The partnership will focus on new fan-engagement initiatives, global brand-building and developing a more immersive experience for supporters of the Brazil-based organisation. Financial terms were not disclosed.

MIBR’s VALORANT line-up includes players from Brazil and the United States and has been a regular competitor in the VCT Americas league. In 2025, the team qualified for VALORANT Masters Toronto, the only team from Latin America to reach the event, and later finished in the Top 5 at VALORANT Champions 2025.

The organisation has broadened its visibility in recent years through collaborations with popular Brazilian creators such as Sacy, original entertainment programming, and large-scale community watch parties during major tournaments, cementing its position as one of Latin America’s most recognisable esports brands.

Among its standout players is Erick “Aspas” Santos, one of the region’s most celebrated VALORANT legends. In 2025, he set the VCT Americas record for most kills in a best-of-three series and became the first player to surpass 1,000 cumulative kills at VALORANT Champions tournaments spanning 2022 to 2024. He has also won the Prêmio eSports Brasil “Athlete of the Year” award three times, and in the 2024 VCT Americas Kickoff, he was the most mentioned player in Twitch chats, with more than 11,300 mentions.

“This is a historic step for 1xBet — becoming the first official betting partner of an esports team within the Riot Games ecosystem,” said Simon Westbury, strategic advisor at 1xBet. “MIBR features some of the most talented and visible players in Latin America, and together we aim to strengthen VALORANT’s presence across the LATAM region, elevate its appeal internationally, and deliver a unique fan experience for audiences around the globe.”

MIBR’s director of marketing and partnerships, Raphael Castanheira, said: “Being the first organisation in the entire Riot ecosystem to obtain approval for a betting sponsorship is a direct result of how MIBR operates today, as an organised company with robust governance, clear processes, and protected by policies that put competitive integrity at the forefront.”
