BetHog, a crypto casino founded in 2024 by the co-founders of FanDuel, has introduced what it calls the industry’s first artificial intelligence-powered blackjack dealer.
The product, named “Sunny,” is being positioned as a new advancement in the $15 billion live casino segment.
The company said Sunny differs from traditional live dealers by providing interactive features designed to personalize online gaming sessions. The AI dealer is programmed to greet players by name, recall prior conversations and game histories, and remain engaged throughout play. Sunny can also provide basic game advice, tell jokes, and respond in real time during blackjack sessions.
To promote the launch, BetHog has included a promotional feature: Sunny will share five facts about herself, and the first player to identify all of them will receive a $50,000 cash prize.
“This is more than just a new feature; it represents a whole new category,” said Nigel Eccles, CEO and co-founder of BetHog. “AI is already transforming other industries, and with this launch, it is ready to transform online casinos. Sunny is the first of a new class of dealers who are guaranteed to be witty, sharp, and completely engaged in the game. This is what the future of online casinos looks like.”
Since its founding, BetHog has developed exclusive titles including Hogger, Mines, and Plinko, alongside a suite of standard casino games. The platform is available in 14 languages and supports deposits in 10 cryptocurrencies. The company also operates a sportsbook as part of its digital offerings.
