Chile's Dreams has agreed to sell four of its casinos in Peru to Spanish gaming company Cirsa Enterprises SA, the casino operator said in a filing with the Chilean Commission for the Financial Market (CMF).
Under the agreement, three casinos in Lima and one in Cusco will be transferred to Cirsa’s Peruvian subsidiary, Gaming and Services.
The deal involves the sale of shares in Sun Nippon Company, Recreativos El Galeón, and Dreams New York, the companies that operate the New York Casino in Magdalena del Mar, Lima; the Luxor Casino in Surco, Lima; the Pachanga Casino in San Borja, Lima; and the Mystic Casino in Cusco.
Following the sale, Dreams will retain ownership of only two Peruvian properties: Pachanga Independencia and Fiesta.
The Chilean operator confirmed the transaction is valued at approximately US$18 million, though it noted the price “may experience changes due to stipulated adjustments.” The sale is still subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
Dreams said that the divestment is expected to have an “immaterial effect on the consolidated net result” by 2025, without specifying the exact financial impact.
