Germany won its second European basketball title 32 years after its first, defeating Turkey 88-83 in a thrilling EuroBasket 2025 final at Riga’s Xiaomi Arena. The final drew around 11,000 spectators, including the President of Germany and his wife, and American businessman and NBA superfan James Goldstein. Germany, considered the pre-tournament favourite, lived up to expectations in a hard-fought match against Turkey.
Finland emerged as the breakout team, finishing fourth after a narrow three-point loss to Greece in the bronze medal game, while Greece earned its first EuroBasket podium finish in 16 years.
