The SBC Summit in Lisbon, scheduled for September 16-18, will feature four dedicated networking events for women in the gaming and betting industry as part of the second edition of its Women Empowerment (WE) Initiative.
The programme begins on Sept. 16 with An Evening of Empowerment & Community at the River Lounge at Myriad by SANA, where participants will engage with international associations, learn about initiatives, and strengthen connections across the sector.
Also on Sept. 16, Women in Gaming (WiG) Africa – Friends & Allies Networking Drinks will be held at Food Festival 6, inviting women and allies to a collective toast aimed at strengthening ties between Africa and the international industry.
On Sept. 17, the Association of Women in the Gaming Industry (AMIG) Happy Hour will take place at the BetBoom booth (C150). Created by Brazilian women, AMIG seeks to support and promote female participation in the sector, offering a relaxed gathering with live music and an open bar.
That morning, the Global Gaming Women (GGW) Breakfast Meet-Up, sponsored this year by Segev LLP, will provide an informal space between Halls 1 and 2 for discussions on careers, mentoring and shared lessons.
Launched in 2024, the WE Initiative seeks to connect, educate and amplify women’s voices in sports betting and gaming. It has the backing of groups including the All-In Diversity Project, AMIG, Global Gaming Women, SheEOs, Women in Gaming Group and Women in Gaming Africa. To register click here.
