The SBC Summit 2025 will place Asia’s $18.3 billion sports betting and iGaming industry in focus with a dedicated Emerging Markets track on September 18 at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL).

The program will address compliance challenges across diverse jurisdictions, India’s regulatory prospects, and the Philippines’ transition from offshore to domestic gaming operations, among other major topics.

The summit’s agenda will open with the panel “Asia: Navigating Regulation, Opportunity and Uncertainty,” moderated by Rosalind Wade, CEO of WinnaMedia. The discussion will bring together Rory Anderson (12BET), Paul Fox (Claymore Solutions), Lau Kok Keng (Rajah & Tan Singapore), and Yuta Romanchenko (Big Idea) to map out regulatory contrasts across the region, from India’s growing interest in alternative betting to Macau’s entrenched land-based sector.

Another highlight will be “India’s Regulatory Roadmap: The Next Decade for Gaming,” which examines the country’s fragmented state-by-state framework and its distinction between games of skill and chance. Panelists Ranjana Adhikari (Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.), Anton Kaszubowski (SBC Advisory), and Japneet Singh Sethi (iGaming NDA) will assess whether India is on the path to meaningful regulation or if its thriving grey market will continue to dominate.

The discussion will then turn to the Philippines with “Life after POGOs,” a session exploring the country’s shift from offshore gaming operators (POGOs) to the newly introduced Philippine Inland Gaming Operators (PIGOs). Industry leaders Dominique Laconico (MegaBet+ & Scorebet), Keith McDonnell (KMI Group), Joe Pisano (Jade Gaming), and Marie Antonette Quiogue (Arden Consult) will evaluate whether this transition positions the Philippines as Asia’s first fully regulated iGaming market.

"If you're building a global gaming business, you can't afford to ignore Asia,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and founder of SBC. “This track makes it clear why the region belongs at the center of every long-term growth strategy. Asia needs a platform where regulators, operators, suppliers, and investors can talk openly. SBC is proud to provide that space, and the Emerging Markets stage is the centerpiece of that effort."

SBC Summit 2025 will also host a Global Markets stage, offering insights into expansion strategies in Latin America, Western Europe, and North America—three of the most profitable regions for sports betting and iGaming worldwide.

The event offers a range of passes tailored to different needs. The VIP Event Pass provides full access to the show floor, all networking areas, conference sessions, complimentary food and drinks from the summit’s food festival, as well as exclusive evening networking sessions and parties.

Groups of three or more can opt for the Group VIP Event Pass, priced at €400 ($468) each, a saving of €200 ($234) per ticket, making it ideal for teams. For those seeking daytime access, the Expo+ Pass includes entry to the show floor, conference sessions, and networking during the day.

The Expo Only Pass, available free of charge, grants access to the show floor alone and is suited for those outside the gaming industry exploring potential partnerships, though it does not include entry to the academies.

In addition, operators and affiliates can apply for a complimentary VIP Event Pass.
