In a year dominated by familiar digital mainstays like WhatsApp Web, YouTube, and Weather, one unexpected name climbed into Brazil’s top 10 most searched terms on Google: Betano. According to exclusive data from Aposta Legal, the online sports betting platform owned by Kaizen Gaming ranked 8th nationally in July 2025, registering 30.9 million monthly searches.
The ranking places Betano ahead of major cultural and technological icons, including ChatGPT (9th), Flamengo (10th), and Instagram (11th), showcasing Brazil’s growing engagement with online betting services. The platform has seen its search volume rise by 3.5% over the last three months and by nearly 17% year-over-year, reports Games Magazine Brasil.
Betano’s rise is attributed to a mix of regulatory shifts, sports sponsorships, and marketing strategies that have enabled it to capitalize on Brazil’s appetite for sports and digital entertainment. The recent regulatory clarity around betting has allowed companies like Betano to expand advertising and promotion campaigns, fueling brand recognition and search interest.
Data from the analytics firm Ahrefs reveals that Betano’s keyword has the highest cost-per-click (CPC) among the top 10 most searched terms in Brazil, averaging US$0.25. This far exceeds CPC values for utility-driven queries like “WhatsApp Web” and “YouTube,” which average just US$0.01. This indicates that advertisers see high value in targeting users interested in Betano, likely due to the platform’s transactional nature and revenue potential.
Another notable indicator is Betano’s click-through rate. The platform records a click-per-search (CPS) rate of 45%, meaning nearly half of users who search for “Betano” proceed to click on a result. In comparison, terms like “Weather” see a CPS of 25%, suggesting Betano searches are more action-driven.
Mobile behavior plays a critical role in the platform’s dominance. Approximately 98% of all searches for “Betano” originate from mobile devices, pointing to a user base accustomed to quick, real-time interactions, whether placing bets or checking odds on the go.
The platform’s reach is further demonstrated by web traffic. In the second quarter of 2025, Betano logged 1.62 billion visits in Brazil, including over 65 million unique visitors in July alone.
Several other betting brands also appear among Brazil’s 50 most searched Google terms. These include bet365 (21st), Superbet (29th), Betnacional (44th), and Esportes da Sorte (49th), showing public interest in the sector beyond a single operator.
