As wildfires continue to impact Cyprus, the island’s tech industry has mobilized through an initiative led by non-profit TechIsland to fund emergency and recovery support. SOFTSWISS, an international iGaming technology company with a presence in Cyprus, has joined the effort with a donation targeting three key areas.
The company's contribution will be directed toward wildfire prevention and fire protection infrastructure, installation of early warning systems, and urgent assistance for families impacted by the fires.
TechIsland, a collective of IT and innovation companies operating in Cyprus, is coordinating the fundraising effort to provide both immediate relief and long-term recovery support. As a member of the local tech ecosystem, SOFTSWISS is contributing to the broader TechIsland initiative alongside other companies responding to the impact of the wildfires on communities across the island.
The company’s participation in this initiative follows a pattern of previous involvement in similar relief campaigns. In 2024, SOFTSWISS launched the HELP Brazil campaign following catastrophic floods and also supported a charitable initiative in Poland under similar circumstances. These activities have included financial support and coordination with partner organizations in affected areas.
“Supporting the country that hosts our employees and partners is not just a responsibility – it is a moral commitment,” said Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS. “We have been closely monitoring the situation with deep concern and wanted to provide tangible aid to the fire-stricken areas, beyond words of solidarity. We are proud to be part of the TechIsland initiative and remain open to offering further support wherever it is needed.”
“Supporting the communities we live and work in is not just a responsibility – it’s a core part of who we are,” the company said in a statement.
