The 2025 Gaming in Germany Conference will convene on November 11 at the DoubleTree Hilton Ku’damm in Berlin, offering updates on the country’s online gambling regulatory landscape and operational challenges facing licensed operators.

The annual event gathers key professionals active in Germany's regulated online gambling industry. Topics on the agenda include regulatory updates, the upcoming review of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty, IP blocking, growth of the black market, player protection, marketing, and compliance requirements.

Confirmed speakers for the event include Dr. Jörg Hofmann, Senior Partner at Melchers Law; a senior representative of the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL); a senior representative of ZEAL; Mathias Dahms, President of DSWV; Dr. Dirk Quermann, President of DOCV; Christian Heins, Director of iGaming at Tipico; Birgitte Sand, CEO of Birgitte Sand & Associates; and Josh Hodgson, COO of H2 Gambling Capital.

Willem van Oort, founder of Gaming in Germany, said: “Like in many other European markets, calls for stricter regulations have put black-market growth in the spotlight. In Germany in particular, there exists significant controversy about the true market share of offshore operators. We intend to share specific and concrete data at this year's conference.

"We are very happy that the German regulator will be present, as well as all the major industry voices. If you are in any way interested in the future of the German iGaming market, this event is not to be missed.”

Gaming in Germany operates as a B2B community for iGaming professionals and related service providers. It connects domestic and international stakeholders to facilitate knowledge exchange and networking. Van Oort also established Gaming in Holland and Gaming in Spain, which serve similar functions in their respective markets.

Alongside discussions on regulatory frameworks, this year’s Gaming in Germany Conference will feature operational topics such as know-your-customer protocols, anti-money laundering measures, data protection, and payment solutions. Breakout sessions led by subject matter experts are designed to provide practical insights for day-to-day business practices.

Industry professionals interested in presenting or joining product- or service-focused sessions can contact van Oort for participation details. Organizers are seeking specialists in media, marketing, affiliation, compliance, and operational strategies. Registration is now open through this link: https://bit.ly/GiGC2025.
