Solverde Group has completed the installation of NOVOMATIC's NOVOVISION casino management system (CMS) at Casino Chaves in northern Portugal, finalizing the roll-out on June 26.
The NOVOVISION CMS installation at Casino Chaves introduces a range of features designed to manage the entire gaming floor and customer engagement. The system integrates NV core modules, including access, pay, promo, smart, tables, wallet, and business intelligence applications to support operational oversight and customer convenience.
Casino guests can register through staffed counters or at NOVOVISION self-registration terminals (SRTs), gaining access to the casino floor via NFC card or facial recognition. All 260 electronic gaming machines (EGMs) have been retrofitted with player tracking modules, enabling individualized customer journey mapping within profiles. Cash handling is supported through ticket-in-ticket-out (TITO) mechanisms and the NOVOVISION NCM 90 cash terminal for redemptions.

In addition to gaming operations, the system provides tools for inventory and floor control, accounting, reporting, and staff notifications for real-time floor events. NOVOMATIC provided training and technical support throughout the implementation process.

Xambre also credited the support teams for ensuring a seamless deployment. “The implementation of this project, which is crucial for Casino Chaves and also for the Solverde Group, was an enriching challenge for our casino operations team, always supported by the fantastic availability and professionalism of the Diverstock and NOVOMATIC teams, tireless in pursuing the objective of implementing the system in a non-disruptive way in daily operations,” he stated.
George Paterakis, Project Manager at NOVOMATIC Biometric Systems (NBS), noted the structured approach to the roll-out: “This roll-out project at the Casino Chaves was characterized by a meticulous planning policy from start to end, which made it very easy for us to rule out any unknown variables and surprises.”
Meanwhile, Marcos Pinto, Managing Director at Diverstock, noted that the Casino Chaves installation is part of NOVOVISION’s expansion in Portugal. “It's very gratifying to witness the success of NOVOVISION's expansion strategy in Portugal: Four NOVOVISION rollouts with major operators in seven months, in total over 1,500 EGMs and 70 tables, each casino installed in less than a week and with zero seconds of downtime.”
