Peru Gaming Show (PGS) 2025, which took place on June 18 and 19 in Lima, left great learnings for the attendees and for the companies that, for 22 years, have been gathering in this space to exhibit their latest-generation products and services.
This was confirmed by Merkur Gaming, a game developer and subsidiary of Merkur Group, which was present not only with its land-based offer, but also with a diversity of products.
In an interview with Yogonet, Ronald Díaz, General Manager of Merkur Gaming Peru, commented on the lessons gained from this edition and how the event is a unique opportunity to share with clients and to know the market's current state to overcome challenges.
What is Merkur's assessment of PGS 2025?
Every event is a great opportunity to reconnect with long-time colleagues and friends and share pleasant moments. At the same time, and equally important, PGS offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about the online segment, which, as we all know, has seen exponential growth in recent years.
During PGS, Merkur highlighted its jackpot offer. Which was the jackpot that attracted the most attention, and why?
As in previous years, the Merkur Mystery continues to be a reliable option for customers in Peru. This product offers a perfect combination of customized features tailored to each operation. It includes a multi-game library with more than 100 titles, a configurable progressive mystery, and, therefore, can be adapted to the needs of any casino. Housed in an attractive and technically reliable cabinet, it ensures a solid and long-term investment, all backed by Merkur.
Another Merkur novelty was the M-Prime multigame package. How was it received by the attendees?
M-Prime is our secret weapon: a multigame tailored to a more exclusive group of players. It includes high volatility games with shorter cycles, designed specifically for high rollers. It plays a key role in the wide range of products that Merkur offers to all casinos. Another safe bet.
What lessons did Merkur learn from the Latin American audience and players after PGS 2025? What are the plans to continue expanding the brand in the region?
I believe that the large number of attendees at PGS shows the interest of our customers and their teams, and being able to share with all of them always gives us a different view of how to face the challenges of the industry.
I believe that Merkur offers its customers a fair and reliable investment, and I am sure that their growth is the growth of both of us. That is why at every event we learn to listen to their needs and adapt to them in order to grow together.
Merkur has a strong presence in Peru and always has a great land-based offer at the expo. What did you think of this edition? Online gaming has grown a lot, but the tradition of land-based gaming is still strong.
I think that land-based has always had a special strength in the local industry. It's indisputable that online has been getting the most attention and revenue over the last few years, and that has slowed the growth of land-based.
However, I believe that the values of land-based operators are still intact, which ensures the permanence of physical casinos. PGS is an opportunity to strengthen those ties and those values.
