ARB Interactive, a mobile and social gaming company, said it has received court approval to acquire the assets of Publishers Clearing House (PCH) for $7.1 million, with plans to update the brand through a modernized approach.
The acquisition was approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and includes the assumption of all PCH prize obligations, including those related to its 2025 contests.
“We are excited to welcome Publishers Clearing House into the ARB Interactive family,” said Patrick Fechtmeyer, CEO of ARB Interactive. “Our vision is to blend PCH's storied heritage with cutting-edge, free-to-play mobile gaming experiences that captivate a new generation.”
“By prioritizing fairness, fun, and integrity, we aim to uphold the PCH brand as a trusted leader in digital entertainment while honoring the spirit of American culture that has defined the brand for over 70 years.”
ARB said the acquisition will revitalize PCH with a modern, mobile-first strategy rooted in trust, transparency, and consumer-first values and accelerate the company’s transformation into a digital, advertising-supported entertainment company.
The transformation will be supported by ARB's flagship platform, Modo Casino, accessible at Modo.us.
Players can expect free-to-play games "that combine the thrill of sweepstakes with the excitement of modern gaming," according to a press release, all accessible on PCH's digital platforms.
ARB also announced that the Prize Patrol will keep delivering surprise winnings across the country, while PCH’s fanbase can look forward to an updated, user-friendly platform.
