The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has launched a new website designed to help the public verify the legitimacy of online gaming platforms.
The website, called the “PAGCOR Guarantee,” is available at www.pagcor.ph/pagcorguarantee and features an updated list of licensed internet gaming operators, the Manila Bulletin reported. It also provides direct links to their official websites.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco said the website is intended to help players identify whether an online gaming site is licensed before engaging in any activity or making payments.
He said that the platform is part of PAGCOR’s campaign to combat illegal online gambling and promote safe and responsible gaming.
Tengco added that PAGCOR has received a growing number of complaints from players who did not receive their winnings after using unverified gaming platforms.
He warned that illegal sites not only put players at risk but also damage public trust and cause significant revenue loss for the government.
Moreover, Tengco described PAGCOR Guarantee as a key component of the agency’s regulatory efforts to protect both the gaming industry and the Filipino public.
PAGCOR is urging the public to use the website to check the legitimacy of online gaming platforms before participating in any form of online gambling.
