AGEM Index sees 0.1% decrease in May as five companies post stock-price drops

The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEMhas announced the latest results for its Index, encompassing the month of May, which show a decline of 1.11 points to 1,741.18, a 0.1% loss from the prior month. However, compared to one year ago, the index rose 40.9%, or 505.56 points.

The AGEM Index is a monthly stock performance guide comprising 12 global gaming suppliers. During the latest month, five of the 12 AGEM Index companies reported stock price decreases, which resulted in five negative contributions and seven positive contributions to the AGEM Index. 

The largest negative contributor to the monthly index was Aristocrat Leisure Limited, whose 6.6% decrease in stock price led to a 41.03-point loss to the index. Meanwhile, Konami Corp. saw its stock price decrease by 3.4%, leading to a 10.95-point decrease for the index.

The largest positive contributor to the index was Agilysys, whose 42.5% increase in stock price resulted in a 35.11-point gain to the AGEM Index. The growth of Agilysys’s stock price was fueled by a record-setting fiscal year 2025 net revenue of $275.6 million, up 16.1% from the prior year. 

In May, all three major U.S. stock indices increased from the prior month. The NASDAQ rose by 7.9% over the month, while the S&P 500 experienced a 5.5% increase. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 3.7% from the prior period.
